The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures (EALL) is now accepting submissions for the EALL Language and Culture Prize. The application form must be submitted by February 26, 2026. This prize, originally established as the Korean Language and Culture Student Prize, is supported by a fund generously donated by Professor Young-Key Kim-Renaud. Each year, one student will be selected to receive a $500 award.
Essays must be written in English, be at least 800 words in length, and address a topic related to East Asian languages, literatures, or cultures. All submissions will be evaluated by a committee composed of faculty members representing the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean programs within the EALL department.
