The Columbian College Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures offers rigorous instruction in Chinese, Japanese and Korean to prepare students for careers in business, education, government, law and much more.
Our faculty are engaged in research projects and frequently present their work at educational conferences and museums around the country. On campus, the department hosts a variety of events for the university community, including lectures, workshops and speech contests in East Asian languages.
