Empowering Teachers to Empower Learners: Exploring AI Tools for Teaching Chinese (July 27, 2024)

This workshop guides teachers step-by-step in using large language models (LLM) to generate Chinese teaching materials. It utilizes backward design to create innovative teaching strategies and lesson plans, and discusses how to use user-friendly generative AI tools to facilitate students' autonomous Chinese learning. Click here for more information on this conference.

CASLAR-6 (July 30 – August 1, 2021)

The Chinese Program successfully organized the 6th International Conference on Chinese as a Second Language Research. Two of our faculty members, Phyllis Zhang and Matt Coss, presented their workshops, which were very well received by participants.
